People suffering from hair loss might want to seek support, according to a new study.
The Viviscal Report: The Hidden Impact of Hair Loss, conducted by Dr Nigel Hunt, a professor in psychology at the University of Nottingham, warned that the condition can have an impact on people's mental health.
Some become distant from loved ones as they feel they have "become someone else", while others take a knock to their confidence.
However, Dr Hunt believes that men should not worry too much about losing their hair.
He said: "Men with hair loss or thinning can still be cool and sexy."
Despite this, it would be a positive step if the media changed the way it portrays hair loss, Dr Hunt added.
Those who are worried about going bald might be interested to know recent research by the Family Health Department at Hebrew University in Israel linked the condition with the brushing of hair.
The findings might interest people thinking about buying <a href="http://www.abcpharmacy.co.uk/shop/products.aspx?store=alternativeHealth&brand=Viviscal" target="_blank">Viviscal</a>.
