SKINCARE ROUTINES 'NEED ADAPTING IN COLDER WEATHER'

02.09.2009 - 19342791

As the weather starts getting colder, it is time for men and women alike to switch from their summer skincare routine to their autumn one.

According to freelance beauty writer Zara Rabinowicz, it is important to alter beauty regimes with the seasons as what worked during the warmer weather may not protect skin from the more miserable wind and rain likely to be seen in the coming months.

The expert advised that as there is less humidity in the air it is a good idea to start using a creamier cleanser, while adding a serum to their daily skincare routine can give people an extra layer of protection.

For older men and women, Ms Rabinowicz advised that the harsh winter weather can speed up the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, making a good skincare routine even more important.

She suggested that using moisturisers with a sun protection factor and adding an intensive night cream to people's routines can help keep skin looking fresh.
