SLIMMING MUM WINS AWARD FOR WEIGHT LOSS EFFORTS

14.09.2009 - 19360364

A mum-of-two who ditched takeaways as part of her weight loss efforts has won a top slimming group award.

Nicola Bradley, 34, was awarded Horden Slimming World's Woman of the Year accolade after dropping from 18st 9lb to 14st 9lb in eight months, reports the Hartlepool Mail.

Ms Bradley, who now wears clothes ten sizes smaller than her old outfits thanks to her new balanced diet, will now go head to head with her fellow slimmers for the regional award.

"I feel really proud to have won the award," she told the newspaper.

"I have had people stopping me in the street I have never spoken to before saying 'don't you look good'."

It was recently reported by the Oxford Mail that one local woman shed 35lbs after deciding to bike to work each day.

Pedal power helped Rachael Rose go from dress size 22 to 14 in two months.
